Each county shall elect a sheriff, county clerk and treasurer…
55 ILCS 5/3‑10001-10005
… In all counties there shall be an elected treasurer who shall hold office until his successor shall be qualified… He shall receive and safely keep the revenues and other public moneys of the county, and all money and funds authorized by law to be paid to him, and disburse the same pursuant to law.

Bobbi Murray awarded “Treasurer of the Year”
New Treasurers sworn in
Sarah Hall was sworn in as Hamilton County Treasurer on August 1, 2013. Sarah replaces Linda Braden who had served since 1990.
Michael Drea was sworn in as Christian County Treasurer on June 1, 2013. Michael replaces Colleen Hadley who had served since 1992.
Tina Droste was sworn in as Henderson County Treasurer on June 1, 2013. Tina replaces Susan Meyer who had served since 2002.
Christine Johnson was sworn in as Dekalb County Treasurer on March 4, 2013. She replaces Mark Todd who had served since 2011.
Dana Jones was sworn in as Massac County Treasurer on January 2nd, 2013. She replaces Floyd Sullivan who had served since 2004.
Brinson Venable was sworn in as Williamson County Treasurer on January 1, 2013. He replaces Bruce Troutman who had served since 1986.
