Welcome to the Wayne County Treasurer's Homepage

The Wayne County Treasurer serves as both Treasurer and Collector for the County. The Treasurer is responsible for depositing and disbursing funds for Wayne County. The Collector is responsible for billing and distributing property taxes to taxing bodies.

In Wayne County, approximately 31,500 real estate tax bills are mailed each year, and collections are over 18 million in tax dollars. These funds are distributed to 88 taxing bodies.

"Our Commitment to You"

The Wayne County Treasurer's Office works for the taxpayers and the taxing bodies of Wayne County. We are here to serve you. We will provide professional and courteous service to all of Wayne County.

My name is Donna Masterson and it has been my honor to serve as the Wayne County Treasurer for more than 19 years.

I am a member of several professional organizations, including Illinois County Treasurers' Association, the National Association of County Treasurers and Finance Officers, and I also serve on the Fairfield Memorial Hospital Board of Directors. It was a great honor to be named Illinois County Treasurer of the Year in 2007 & 2012 and ZONE I Treasurer of the Year in 2007, 2012, & 2020.

The Treasurer's office collects, invests, and distributes more than 18 million in property taxes each year. We collect and distribute this money in a 90 day period with a staff of only two, plus we handle payroll for Wayne County.

We strive to offer Fast, Efficient and Friendly service to All of Wayne County.
